Custom commerce / Headless

Catalog, cart, checkout and order tracking
RiseCart is a headless e-commerce application built from scratch: a Next.js + Tailwind storefront powered by an Express + MongoDB API. It takes buyers from catalog to checkout to order tracking, with admin and seller tooling behind it.

01 /Context & responsibility
The project needed a complete commerce flow, from browsing a catalog to placing and tracking an order. My contribution covered the full build: the Next.js storefront, the Express API, and the admin and seller workflows.
02 /Architecture & implementation
The storefront is Next.js with Tailwind; the API is Express with MongoDB. Checkout uses payment-proof upload (Easypaisa, JazzCash, bank transfer) verified in the admin panel. Sellers get a dashboard with product catalog, selling links and payout tracking.
The engineering focus was connecting these stages into one flow: catalog choices feed the cart, checkout creates the order, and order tracking gives the customer a way to follow it.
03 /Maintenance considerations
Headless means the storefront and API evolve separately, so changes to catalog, checkout or order state are considered across the API contract — not only on one side.
04 /Result
A complete headless commerce flow — catalog, cart, checkout, order tracking — plus admin and seller tooling, live in production.
The takeaway
A complete purchase flow needs the storefront and backend to work together.
